Laser Standard - World Championship 2016 - Nuevo Vallarta MEX - Day 3, the Swiss

Good conditions with a 12-15 kn seabreeze prevailed also on the third day at the Laser Standard Worlds in Mexico.
Finishing 1 and 2 in his Group, Nick Thompson GBR reclaimed the first place in the overall rankings 3 points ahead of Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA. With Tonci Stipanovic CRO, Matthew Wearn AUS and Robert Scheidt BRA, three co-favorites follow on the ranks 3-5. Philipp Buhl GER moved up on the 6th place, and also the World Ranking leader Tom Burton AUS is on the way up after his failed first day. With a bullet yesterday, he is now on the 8th place overall. Guillaume Girod SUI defended his 56th position, just enough for a Goldfleet qualification. Two crucial qualification races will be sailed today.
