Laser Standard - World Championship 2016 - Nuevo Vallarta MEX - Day 4

The Qualification Series of the Laser Standard World Championship in Mexico ended yesterday with two races sailed in a 9-12 kn breeze, lighter than on the previous days. Most of the favorites remained in the top ranks even in these conditions.
Finishing on the ranks 2 and 4, Nick Thompson GBR extended his lead on 5 points. Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA remains the first challenger. New on rank 3 is Robert Scheidt BRA, while Tonci Stipanovic CRO descended on rank 4 after a failed race (rank 25). As best of the day with two 2nd places, Wannes Van Laer BEL moved up on the 5th position. Guillaume Girod SUI dropped on rank 63 and missed the Goldfleet by 7 ranks and 23 points. Cyrill Knecht SUI is down on the 99th place after an abandoned race.
