Finn - World Masters Championship 2016 - Torbole ITA - Day 1, the Swiss

Top Lake Garda conditions prevailed yesterday during the first races of the Finn World Masters with an 18 kn Ora. The 355 participants sail in four Groups, and three times, the race winners finished first in both races: the Olympic Medalist Raffael Trujillo ESP, the defending Champion Vladimir Krutskikh RUS and the FD Olympic Diploma holder and Finn newcomer Piet Eckert SUI. All three lead tied on top of the overall interim’s rankings. On the ranks 4 and 5 follow the former Olympians Paul McKenzie AUS and Michael Maier CZE. Christoph Burger SUI on rank 12 and Christoph Christen SUI as 22nd complete the good Swiss performance on day one.
