The outcome was very close with the veteran and past World Champion Roberto Benamati ITA with Alberto Ambrosini ITA 2 points ahead of Diego Negri/Sergio Lambertenghi ITA. Guglielmo Danellon/Mattia Gazzetta ITA follow on the 3rd place. Urs Hunkeler/Enrico De Maria SUI missed the title by only 5 points, the Bronze Medal by just 1 point. 28 teams participated.
