This year, Switzerland is represented in the two Laser fleets only. In a fresh 20 kn breeze, Nils Theuninck SUI showed a remarkable performance in the Lasers Standard, sitting on rank 15 among 53 participants after two races. Guillaume Girod SUI started with a 15th race rank, but was forced to abandon the second race with a broken boom vang, letting him on rank 34. Andrea Nordquist SUI on rank 18 among the 26 women was not at ease in the Lasers Radials in these conditions.
