IMOCA Open 60 - Transat New-York-Vendée - New York USA - Day 8

The W to E Transat is now in its crucial phase. With 480 miles to go, the leading trio has been slowed down by the lighter winds and is now closer together. Jérémy Béyou FRA with his 'Maître Coq' was leading this morning with an 8 miles advance on Sébastien Josse FRA. Alex Thompson GBR, still in a fresher breeze, is 6 kn faster underway and reduced the backlog on 33 miles.
