The breeze on the Attersee filled in late in the day only to kickoff the inaugural race of the Melges 24 European Sailing Series. Christoph Skolaut AUT and his team won the day's race ahead of Ronald Veraar NED and Niccolo Bertola ITA on the ranks 2 and 3. The team of Chris Rast SUI, absent on Melges 20 duties, has Luka Rodion UKR as prominent substitute and finished 4th. Michael Good SUI follows on rank 7 among the 24 teams from 9 nations.
