Optimist - World Championship 2016 - Vilamoura POR - Day 1 - Max Wallenberg SUI first leader !

The Optimist World Championship 2015 began yesterday in southern Portugal with 255 participants from 58 nations and 58 continents, once more one of the biggest international sports events ! The fleet, split in four Groups, completed two races each.
Winning both heats in his Group, Max Wallenberg SUI has taken the overall lead ahead of Roko Mohr GER (3/1) and Adrian Surroca GER (1/4). The other Swiss are also in the first half of the fleet. Achille Casco SUI and Joshua Richner SUI follow on the ranks 76 and 77, Maxime Thommen SUI is 92nd. Only Arnaud Grange SUI (bfd/8) is farther back for the moment because of a premature start, i.e. on the 141st place.
