OLYMPIC GAMES 2016 - Rio de Janeiro BRA - Day 9 - the Swiss

For the first time since 1992, a Swiss team started with chances for a Medal to the last race. Unfortunately, Matias Bühler/Nathalie Brugger SUI failed as last in the Medal Race, and finished 7th overall being awarded an Olympic Diploma. A Diploma is also within the reach of Yannick Brauchli/Romuald Hausser SUI who will start to the 470 Medal Race today as 10th, 13 points behind rank 8. Not qualified for the Medal Race however are Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI, who had their worst day and dropped on rank 14 with an 8 points' gap on rank 10.
A positive final day had Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI in the 49ers: With the ranks 5/17/5, they concluded the Olympic Regatta on rank 13 overall.
