29er - Eurocup 2016 - Riva ITA - Final results, the Swiss

The sunny days over Lake Garda provided for four perfect sailing days during the last round of the 29er Eurocup Regatta with the usual thermal 'Vento' and 'Ora', and 12 races have been completed.
Pep Costa/Fran Nunez ESP defended their first place in the last races yesterday winning just one point ahead of Mikolaj Staniul/Kajetan Jablonski POL. Another point behind followed Albert Cornudella/Alexandre Bouquet ESP. Hannah Bristow/Emily Covell GBR finished 14th as best women's team. The final results of the Goldfleet. In the Silverfleet, the best SwissTill Straub/Camillo De Nardis SUI moved up on rank 8 (= 53rd overall) thanks to 3rd race rank. 98 teams from 16 nations. The report (in Italian).
The 29er Eurocup 2016 has been concluded with this event. 245 teams in total participated at this years' 10 regattas. Overall winners are Alexander Gronblom/Martin Mikkola FIN, who started at 6 of the 10 events. On the ranks 2 and 3 follow Markus Kirketerp/Sebastian Olsen DEN and Casper Ladefoged/Jakob Precht DEN. Present at 3 evens were Ilona Verlen/Benoît Leuenberger SUI on rank 65 overall as best Swiss team. The final annual rankings.
