Around the World record - Thomas Coville FRA underway

'Sodebo ultim', the 120 foot trimaran with Thomas Coville FRA as skipper crossed the starting line off Ouessant FRA yesterday at 14 h, 49 min and 52 seconds to the round-the-world solo record attempt. To beat the existing record of Francis Joyon FRA of 57 days, 13 hours and 34 minutes, he has to cross the finish line before January 3 2017 at 4 hrs 22 minutes and 52 seconds. The excellent meteo conditions will have allowed 'Sodebo Ultim' to pass the Cap Finisterre at the most NW point of Spain during the past night.
