The leading duo has been trailing longer as expected along the Brazilian coas at low speeds, and with barely 200 nm in the past 24 hours, they were the slowest of the fleet. Alex Thomson GBR reduced the backlog on Armel le Cléac'h FRA to 136 nm. According to the latest forecasts, Thomson will reach the trade winds as first by this evening.
