Fresh winds prevailed yesterday for the first time at the Hyères Worldcup and the first pre-decisions were made.
Already certain is a Medal for Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI in the RS:X men windsurfers. With a 15 points' deficit on rank 1 and a 10 points' advantage on rank 3, everything is possible in today's Medal Race. Still outstanding are Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI with the ranks 1 and 2 yesterday in the 470 women staying on top tied with Zegers/Van Veen NED. Kilian Wagen/Grégoire Siegwart SUI in the 470 men however were overstrained by the changed conditions dropping on rank 18 with a 31 points deficit on rank 10, the Medal Race cut. The same is true for Maud Jayet SUI in the Lasers Radial on rank 16 with a 26 points' backlog. For Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI as 13th in the 49ers and Livia Näf/Nelia Puhze SUI as 19th in the 49ersFX, the Hyères Worldcup is already over.
