Olympic Classes - Kieler Woche - Kiel GER - Day 3

A fresh westerly breeze of up to 25 kn filled in on Kiel Bay yesterday after two light-wind days. In most classes, the exerienced teams took the command. aMatthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS won all three races of the day in the 470 men and moved on top Pawel Sozykin/Denis Gribanov RUS and Malte Winkel/Matti Cipra GER. Three bullets earned also Anna Skrzypulec/Irmina Mrozek POL replacing Frederike Loewe/Anna Markfort GER on top of the 470 women.
In the 49ers, the domintors of the day were Will Philipps/Sam Philipps AUS winning 3 of the 4 heats and moving up on rank 4 overall. New on the first place are David Gilmour/Joel Turner AUS. Przybytek/Kolodzinski POL follow with 10 points backlog on the 2nd place. Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL won 2 of the 4 races in the 49ersFX and climbed on rank 1. Dobson/Tidey GBR and Lutz/Beuke GER follow on the ranks 2 and 3.
Man of the day in the Finns was Max Salminen SWE with the day ranks 2/1/1, advancing on rank 2 only 2 points behind Deniss Karpak EST.
No changes occurred in the Nacra 17, where Thomas Zajac/Barbara Matz AUT defended the first place 2 points in front of Jan-Hauke Erichsen/Ann-Kristin Wedemeyer GER.
