Star World Championship Troense DEN Day 5, the Swiss
Light winds prevailed for the first time during the fifth race of the 2017 Worlds in Denmark after three big-breeze days. Diego Negri/Sergio Lamberthengi ITA were the winners ahead of George Szabo USA/Patrick Ducommun SUI. The situation is fully open re the title before the last race today, as five teams still have an option on Gold. Eivind Melleby NOR/Joshua Revkin USA and Lars Grael/Samuel Goncalves BRA on 2nd separated by 5 points are still on top of the rankings, but both sailed their discard result yesterday and need a good result in front of their chasers today to remain ahead. Reinhardt Schmidt/Pauls Sradnick GER follows by a small margin only and also Facundo Oleazza/Juan-Pablo Engelhart ARG and Diego Negri/Sergio Lamberthengi ITA are not yet out in the fight for the title. Jean-Pascal Chatagny/Serge Pulfer SUI lost some places yesterday and are now 25th. Henrik Dannesboe/Jan Bonhoeffer SUI follow on rank 35, Bernhard Seger/Michael Schulz SUI are 38th.
