Laser 4.7 - Youth World Championship 2017 - Nieuwpoort BEL - Day 3, the Swiss

Light and shifty winds made racing difficult yesterday during the last races of the qualification phase. The boys' fleet sailed two, the Girls only one race.
Julia Büsselberg GER and Giorgi Cingolani ITA are jointly on top of the Girls. Federica Cattarozzi ITA is new on the 3rd place. Finishing 2nd and 4th in her Group, Rosine Baudet SUI was among the best of the day and moved up on rank 13 overall. Farah Imbert SUI and Olivia Habegger SUI on the ranks 65 and 66 missed the Goldfleet by a small margin.
In the Boys fleet, Yilkan Timursah TUR is now the sole leader. Cesare Barabino ITA folgt on rank 2 is the best U16 participant. Finn O'Dea IRL is new on rank 3. Man of the day was Félix Baudet SUI, winning both heats of his Group and advancing on rank 5 overall. He will be the only Swiss in the Goldfleet of the best 60. Philipp Tibaldo SUI (83rd), Leonardo Finazzi SUI (84th) and Jonas Domeisen SUI (95th) will continue the Championship in the Silverfleet.
