The top-quality A-Cat World Championship 2017 in Poland began yesterday in a 12-14 kn wind with two races and the 126 boats' fleet split in two Groups.
Darren Bundock AUS and his training partner Steve Brewin AUS won both heats in their Groups and have the joint overall lead after day one. Daniel Caviezel SUI, rank 2 and 3 is on the excellent 3rd place at equal points with the European Champion Jakub Surowiec POL. The defending World Champion Mischa Heemskerk NED capsized and is only on rank 27. The second-best Swiss Nils Palmieri SUI is is 42nd, Luc du Bois SUI, ranks 14 and OCS (premature start) is on the 75th position for the moment.
