Laser Radial & Standard - European Championship 2017 - Barcelona ESP - Day 1 - the Swiss

Everything was ready to sail the first races at the Laser Standard and Radial European Championship in Barcelona, but the majority of the Race Officials participated in the general strike as a protest against the violent police interventions of the Spanish Government to interdict the Catalan referendum for autonomie !
130 Lasers Standard from 34 nations and 4 continents, 103 Laser Radial men from 25 nations and 96 women from 34 nations are on the entry lists. Switzerland is represented in all fleets, and hopefull, the neo-Swiss Eliot Merceron SUI in the Standards and Maud Jayet SUI in the Radials will be able to confirm their good result of the past months.
