 Solo round the world record  François Gabart FRA  Day 3
On Sunday, François Gabart FRA with his Maxi-Trimaran 'Macif' crossed the starting line between Ouessant FRA and the Lizard lighthouse GBR to attack the solo-non-stop round-the-world record. The time to beat, established by Thomas Coville FRA, is 49 days and 3 hours. Gabart has alredy passed the Canary Islands with an 85nm advantage on the previous record this morning. The average speed up to now was 25kn.
