Olympic & Youth Classes - Christmas Race - Palamos ESP - Day 2, the Swiss

Fresh Northwinds and sun prevailed yesterday setting the stage for a perfect first race day at the 2017 Palamos Christmas Race.
Simon Diesch/Philipp Autenrieth GER won all three races in the 470 men, followed by Jordi Xammar/Nicholas Rodriguez ESP. Jennifer Poret/Camille Hautefaye FRA have taken the lead in the 470 women, 6 points ahead of Silvia Mas-Depares/Patricia Cantero ESP.
The skiffs sailed 4 races in each fleet. First interim in the 49ers are Simone Ferrarese/Valerio Gallati ITA closely followed by Max Stingele/Linov Scheel GER. In the 49ersFX, Martin Mikkola/Markus Ihamoutila FIN are first ahead of Francesca Bergamo/Jana Germani ITA.
Deniss Karpak EST is on top of the Finns ahead of Alejandro Muscat. Nils Theuninck SUI follows on rank 5 among the 31 participants from 16 nations.
Three races were held in the youth classes as well. In the 420s, Eduard Ferrer/Carlos De Maqua ESP are first. The best of the five Swiss teams are Florian Geissbühler/Livio Erni SUI on rank 16 among the 31 teams.
