Olympic Worldcup 2018 Olympic Classes Regatta Miami FL, USA Day 1 good Swiss 470s
Light and fickle winds prevailed on Biscayne Bay yesterday during the first races of the 2018 Miami Olympic Classes Worldcup Regatta and three classes remained without results, among them the Lasers Radial with Maud Jayet SUI and Andrea Nordquist SUI as well as the RS:X men windsurfers with Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI and the Finns with Nils Theuninck SUI.
An excellent first day had the Swiss 470s in the only race of the day. Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI finished 3rd having come strongly from behind and Kilian Wagen/Grégoire Siegwart SUI booked a 6th rank amidst the world's best ! As 19th, Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI are in the middle of the 49ers. Below his expectations was Eliot Merceron SUI in the Lasers Standard, who is on rank 58 after two races, but some top Laser-sailors are also down in the rankings.
The ranking lists and the daily news.
