IMOCA Open 60, Class 40, Ultime, Multi 50 - Route du Rhum - Day 4, the Swiss

After the stormy initial days, the fleet is now heading South in moderate conditions direction trade winds.
In the Ultime-Trimarans, François Gabart FRA ('Macif'), the only foiler trimaran still racing, is clearly in the lead 101nm ahead of Francis Joyon FRA ('IDEC') at half time of the race.
In the Open 60, Alex Thompson GBR ('Hugo Boss') is on top 68nm in front of Paul Meilhat FRA ('SMA'). Vincent Riou FRA ('PRB') is on 3rd with a 92nm deficit. Winner of the day was Boris Herrmann GER with his 'Malizia' moving up on rank 4 just 11nm behind Vincent Riou. Alan Roura SUI new on rank 7 has lost two places, but his backlog of 202nm did not change much. As 9th, the Paralympic Champion Damien Séguin FRA is on a remarkable position as well.
No change on top of the Multi 50: Thibault Vauchel-Camus FRA is leading 48nm ahead of Erwan Le Roux FRA.
In the Class 40, 38 of the 53 starters are still in the race. Yoanne Richomme FRA is first 18nm ahead of Phil Sharp GBR. Aymeric Chappellier FRA on 3rd follows another mile behins. Jacques Valente SUI is 29th with a 354nm backlog.
In the two Amateur Categories, the Rhum-Classes, Pierre Arnaud FRA is frist in the Multis and Sydney Gavignet FRA in the Monos.
