Sailracing events never stop ... ! In the coming days, four World Championships of well-established classes begin in Oceania, and we will of course follow them daily.
In Freemantle AUS, the 5o5 Worlds will be kicked off tomorrow with 86 teams from 10 nations on the entry list. The 5o5 Pre-Worlds finished two days ago were won by Peter Nicholas/Luke Payne AUS one point ahead of Mike Martin/Adam Lowry USA. The ranking list.
Also in Fremantle, the Dragon Class will held its Worlds with 38 teams from 12 nations, among the Wolf Waschkuhn SUI.
In New Zealand, the Tornados will have their Worlds title event. In the small 15 teams fleet are the two Swiss teams with Jörg Steiner SUI and Christian Manz SUI steering.
The spectacular 12-Foot-Skiffs - 4 meter boat length and up to 56m2 sail plan ! - organise their inofficial Wolrds, the Interdominions, performing their always exciting racing on Sydney Harbours as from next Sunday. Here preview video.
