Olympic Classes - Trofeo Princesa Sofia - Palma ESP - Day 5 - Medal Race for Mateo Sanz-Lanz and Maud Jayet SUI today

Good conditions prevailed again on Palma Bay yesterday during the last Final Series races qualifying for today's Medal Races.
The RS:X windsurfer Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI has a Medal guaranteed as - on 3rd before the last race - he cannot be overtaken anymore. Finishing 9th and 10th yesterday, Maud Jayet SUI moved up on rank 8, but only minor changes in the overall final ranking are possible today.
The rest of the Swiss Team did not qualify for the Medal Race. However, finishing 3rd in the last race, Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI realized their best result of the week and advanced on rank 12 overall. But the gap on rank 10 of 12 points is too important. Eliot Merceron SUI finished the competition on rank 24 as neighbour of the World Champion Pavlos Kontides CYP. Maxime Bachelin/Arnaud de Planta SUI terminated their first Goldfleet race in the 49ers as 25th. And last but not least, Kilian Wagen/Grégoire Siegwart SUI grasped an excellent 2nd rank in the final race and moved up on the 21st place overall.
