Optimist - Dutch Youth Regatta - Workum NED - Start today, the Swiss

Today begins the Dutch Youth Regatta on the Ijsselmeer sailing in eight different Classes. With 428 participants from 26 nations and 5 continents, the Optimists have the largest fleet. For 100 Swiss sailors, this is the final selection event for the World- and European Championship teams. The Nacra 15-catamaran fleet, including two Australian teams, is quite competitive as well, with Seven Swiss teams are at the start. The entry lists.
The kickoff today will be quite challenging with wind from 15 to 20kn. For the coming days, a moderate breeze has been forecast.
