Optimist, Laser, 29er, Nacra 15, var. classes - Dutch Youth Regatta - Workum NED - Day 1, the Swiss

Yesterday, rough conditions with a 16kn breeze and steep waves prevailed during the first races of the Dutch Youth Regatta on the Ijsselmeer NED.
In the Optimist fleet, split in four groups, Vitus Sandberg DEN, Magnus Heegard DEN and Martin Atilla LAT won all 3 races of their groups and jointly lead overall. Boris Hirsch SUI is on the excellent 6th, Sam Nokes SUI follows on rank 12. Pierre Jully SUI and Viktoria Jedlinska SUI on the ranks 16 and 18 are also well positioned.
In the Lasers 4.7, Ties Wijbinga NED is first ahead of Colin Faas NED and Anja Von Allmen SUI. In the Radials, Willem Wiersema NED is on rank 1 in front of Paul Hameeteman NED. Martin Verhulst SUI follows on rank 4 among the 77 participants.
In the 29ers, Aristide Girou/Noah Chauvin FRA are on top ahead of Archie Cropley/Max Paul AUS.
Especially challenging are the conditions for the Nacra-15-catamarans. After four races, Rebekka Johannesen/William Johannesen DEN have taken the lead ahead of Lucas Claeyssens/Gauthier Verhulst BEL on 2nd and Jesse Lindstädt/Lisa Rausch GER on 3rd. With the ranks 2/4/7, Arnaud Grange/Marie Van der Klink SUI were among the best as well, but a premature start disqualification relegated them on rank 12.
