For two year, the Optimist World Champion titles have been Italian. Yesterday, Alessandro Cortese ITA and Federica Contardi ITA earned the Optimst European Championship titles. In the Girls, Italy grasped Silver as well with Lisa Vucetti ITA. The Bronze Medal went to Jeanne Larnicol FRA.
In the Boys, Dimitrios Bitros GRE won Silver and Lorenzo Pezilli ITA Bronze behind the Gold Medal winner Alessandro Cortese ITA.
