As expected, the favorites ruled the show in the first three big-breeze races yesterday with Tom Slingsby AUS (1/1/2) and Kyle Langford AUS (2/1/1) dominating their groups. The Laser Olympic Champion Tom Burton AUS follows on rank 3, the best non-Australians are Francesco Bruni ITA as 4th and Brad Funk USA as 5th. Rome Kirby USA occupies the 14th place. ----- The two Swiss participants had their difficulties: Philipp Schiller SUI dropped out before the first start with equipment problems, Aymeric Blin SUI is on the 97th place among the 122 participants. ----- Hot temperatures exceeding 40° C prevailed on the Swan River in Perth, Western Australia. Ashore, the delicate ultra-light carbon boats even had to be cooled with water to avoid heat damage. ----- The ranking list, the daily news and the event facebook page with photos and videos. ----- Racing is already is underway this Saturday morning UTC with another three heats to conclude the qualifications for the Gold- and Silverfleets.
