49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - Junior European Championship 2019 - Vilamoura POR - Day 1, the Swiss

The Junior European Championship of the three Olympic Speed Classes began yesterday with four races held in a fresh up to 20kn wind and 2 meter waves. ----- In the 49ers, Tomas Mathisen/Mads Mathisen NOR are clearly on first ahead of Keanu Prettner/Jakob Flachberger AUT and Mikolaj Staniul/Jakub Sztorch POL. Only 3 points behind rank 2 are Max Haenssler/Joshua Richter SUI on the 7th place. Maxime Bachelin/Arno De Planta SUI could not sail the first two races, but joined the competition in force with the ranks 6 and 1. They remain on rank 16 among the 29 participants for the moment. ----- In the 49erFX, Inga-Marie Hoffmann/Alisa Engelmann GER and Willemijn Offerman/Elise De Ruyter NED share the lead at equal points. ----- In the Nacra 17, Cas Van Dongen/Bjarne Bouwer NED won 3 of the 4 races leaving Flora Virag/Daniel Molnar HUN clearly behind. ----- All ranking lists and the event facebook page with reports, photos and videos.
