In the 49er, 49erFX and Mixed 470 the new World Champions are already decided before today's Medal Races: ----- Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED extended their lead in the 49er to 26 points with the day's ranks 1/1/3 and can no longer be caught in the Medal Race - their 3rd World Championship title in a row ! Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP on 2nd are only 3 points ahead of Sébastien Schneiter/Arno De Planta SUI. ----- With a lead of 36 points Vilma Bobeck/Rebecca Netzler SWE were in a class of their own in the 49erFX and are the new World Champions. Odile Van Aanholt/Annette Duetz NED and 4 points behind Olivia Price/Evie Haseldine AUS will decide the other medals today. Olympic winners Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA are 12th, missing out on the Medal Race. ----- Keiju Okada/Miho Yoshioka JPN are the new World Champions in the Mixed 470 with a lead of 38 points. It will be exciting behind them: The ranks 2 to 6 are only 7 points apart. Malte and Anastasiya Winkel GER are 3rd, Simon Diesch/Anna Markfort GER follow on rank 5. ----- In the iQ-Foil windsurfing, Nicolo Renna ITA took the lead with 3 race wins ahead of Luuc Van Opzeeland NED tied on points. Only one point behind follows Sebastin Kördel GER on rank 3. Elia Colombo SUI is now 18th and thus 12th nation....11 nations qualify for the Olympic Games...it remains exciting. ----- The top female windsurfers are close together: Emma Wilson GBR is leading with 4 points ahead of Zhen Yang CHN, Shahar Tibi ISR follows on rank 3. ----- Leader change in the Formula-Kiters: Toni Vodisek SLO is now leading one point ahead of Max Maeder SGP. Axel Mazella FRA is third 5 points behind. Bruce Kessler SUI is now 30th (18th nation). ----- No changes in the women's race: Lauriane Nolot FRA now leads by 4 points over Eleanor Aldridge GBR, Lily Young GBR has moved up to 3rd place, just ahead of Leonie Meyer GER. ----- Despite an early start, Michael Beckett GBR extended his lead to 15 points in the ILCA 7. As best of the day, Olympic champion Matthew Wearn AUS moved up to rank 2. Pavlos Kontides CYP is now on rank 3. ----- Maria Erdi HUN maintained her position at the top of the ILCA 6. Emma Plaesschart BEL moved up to rank 2, Casey Imeneo AUS is now on rank 3. As best of the day with ranks 1 and 2, Maud Jayet SUI moved up to rank 7. Anja Von Allmen SUI dropped back to rank 29. ----- In the Nacra 17, the decision has probably already been made: Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA go into the Medal Race with a 16-point lead over John Gimson/Anna Burnet GBR. New in third place is Emil Jarudd SWE (with Hanna Jonsson SWE), who won the F18 Catamaran World Championship last week. ----- All rankings and the daily report.
