IMOCA Open 60 - Vendée Globe 2016 - Alan Roura SUI will participate

In 10 months from now, the start to the Vendée Globe 2016, the single-handed nonstop around the World race, will be given at the Sables d'Olonne. Up to now, 24 skippers have registered. The organisers expect 30 boats on the starting line.
The lastest entry comes from Alan Roura SUI from Geneva, age 22 and the youngest participant so far. He will participate on the old Open 60 of Bernard Stamm SUI. Roura began his solo career on a Mini 650, and at the Transat Jacques Vabre last November, he participated with a Class 40. As major preparation for the Vendée, he will participate in the 'Transat' from New York to Europe end of May. His budget of €uro 415'000 is not yet fully covered and he is looking for more partners.
