Class 40, Multi 50 - Les 1000 milles des Sables - Sables d'Olonne FRA - Day 3

The gale warning for Friday prompted Race Management to alter the course of the 1000-mile-race, dropping the passge of Wolf Rock South of Ireland, directing the fleet back to France after rounding the waypoint off Gijon, and adding a second round to the Spanish coast and back.
The two Multi-50-trimarans are already for the second time in Gijon, and Armel Tripon FRA is leading with a 6nm advantage on Thibaut Vauchel FRA. The duo will finish the race by this evening.
In the Class 40, Aymeric Chappelier FRA has taken the lead ahead of Sam Goodchild GBR and Phil Sharp GBR on the 2nd and 3rd position.
