Corona-Pause ? - Kiel Week postponed

After the Vendée Globe and the America's Cup, two absolute highlights at the beginning of 2021, the international regatta calendar is actually full of question marks due to Corona restrictions. Facts are, that most of the big Olympic Classes events such as the the Trofeo Sofia in Palma, or the Hyères Week, and now also the Kiel Week have been canceled or postponed until late summer. The Olympic Games in Tokyo in July/August however are still on the agenda in spite of some opposition in Japan. Moreover, in some parts of the Northern Hemisphere, Olympic and International Classes events are still scheduled. ----- In Switzerland, the season is starting normally, and hopes are high, that potential restrictions will not hurt the by all means safe and healthy sport of sailing in this country.
