470 - European Championship 2021 - Vilamoura POR - Day 5 - Louisa Nordstrom/Trevor Bornarth USA starting to the Medal Race with rank 8

The last two qualifying races for today's Medal Races were sailed yesterday in around 12kn seabreeze. ----- In the 470 men, Kevin Peponnet/Jérémie Mion FRA go into the Medal Race with an 8-point lead over Paul Snow-Hansen/Daniel Willcox NZL. Jordi Xammar/Nicolas Rodriguez ESP and Anton Dahlberg/Frederik Bergström SWE are tied for third and fourth place. ----- The 470 women are also led by France: Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA are 10 points ahead of Silvia Mas-Depares/Paula Barcelo ESP. Another 3 points behind in 3rd, Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI will fight for the title today as well, together with the Olympic and World Champions Hannah Mills/Eilidh McIntyre GBR only one point back in 4th. ----- In the 470 Mixed, Nitai Hasson/Saar Tamir ISR will start the Medal Race with a 12 point lead.
