RC44 - 44Cup - Marstrand - Day 1

The 44Cup Marstrand had a tricky start today as 25 knots winds with 30+ gusts delayed the start to mid-afternoon. In the only race, held in a 12kn northerly, Chris Bake and 'Team Aqua' came out on top ahead of Vladimir Prosikhin’s 'Team Nika'. The event’s host Torbjörn Törnqvist on 'Artemis Racing' (with Ian Percy GBR) held second place most of the way around only to be displaced by 'Team Nika' just short of the finish line. ----- Conditions are forecast to be lighter and sunny tomorrow when the race committee will attempt to hold three races.
