Class 40 - Normandy Channel Race - Ouistreham FRA - Day 2

The front of the fleet passed Tuskar Rock off the east coast of Ireland this morning UTC. Corentin Douget/Yoann Richomme FRA managed to overtake the surprisingly leading Matthieu Perraut/Kevin Bloch FRA on the downwind towards Ireland. The next destination is now the Fastnet Rock, then it's back to Brest. About half of the race distance has been sailed. 6 of the 31 teams have had to abandon the race with technical problems, including Jean Galfione/Vincent Riou FRA and Ivica Kostelic CRO/Louis Hubert FRA.
