Moderate, shifty winds ensured challenging medal races at the joint European Championships of the three Olympic classes in Aarhus yesterday. In the 49er, Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP secured victory ahead of Bart Lambriex/Florian Van de Werken NED and James Peters/Fynn Sterritt GBR. Joshua Richner/Nilo Schärer SUI finished the European Championships in 18th place out of 89 teams. In the 49erFX, Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA won with a comfortable lead over Odile Van Aanholt/Anette Duetz NED, bronze went to Bobeck/Netzler SWE. The 49er-report.
