ILCA 6 - Youth World Championship - Shoreacres TX, USA - Day 1

With two races held at 15-18kts, the ILCA 6 Junior World Championships got underway in Texas yesterday with two races. In the women's race, Eve McMahon IRL took the lead with two race wins. Marga Perello ESP follows in 2nd with two 2nd places and Linda Hensel GER is in 3rd. Also off to a good start is Victoria Jedlinska SUI who is in 9th place out of 50 competitors from 18 nations. In the men's competition Athanasios Kyfidis GRE, Fiachra McDonell IRL and Erik Norlan SWE share the lead with equal points. Boris Hirsch SUI is the best Swiss, 56th of the 150 participants.
