420, 470 - Junior European Championship 2022 - Vilamoura POR - Final results

The European Junior 420 and Mixed 470 Championships ended yesterday in the south of Portugal with two races at 12-15 knots. ----- Ian Walker/Finn Dicke ESP took first and second place in the day's racing to become European 420 Champions with a 42-point lead. Marc Mesquida/Ramon Jaume ESP followed in second place, Freddie Parkin/Asher Beck USA took the bronze medal. Camilla Michelini/Margherita Bonifaccio ITA are the best women's team in 5th place. Samuel Berther/Alexander Hinde SUI finish their first European Championship in 61st place of the 107 teams. ----- In the U17 classification of the 420s, the title goes to Panagiotis Sotiriou/Symeon Michalopoulos GRE. Amelie Wehrle/Amelie Rinn GER and Severin Gericke/Xaver Schwarz GER completed the podium. Nino and Camillo Löfteröd SUI finished the European Championships in 30th place. ----- The Mixed 470s sailed a medal race. With a 2nd place, Matisse Pacaud/Lucie De Gennes FRA maintained their position at the top. Beatrice Gago/Rodolfo Pires POR moved up to 2nd as winners of the Medal Race.
