F50-Catamaran - Sail GP - Christchurch NZL - Day 1

In good foiling conditions, the Sail GP of New Zealand started this morning with 3 races. Peter Burling NZL and his Team New Zealand were convincing with ranks 2/1/2. Team Canada with Phil Robertson NZL follows 4 points behind in 2nd place, and Team GBR with Ben Ainslie GBR is 3rd. The Australians with Tom Slingsby AUS, leading in the annual standings, had to sail behind in the last race with damage on the rudder and must hurry up in the two races tomorrow to advance to the final of the best three. Sébastien Schneiter SUI and his Team Switzerland, strengthened with Glen Ashby AUS, follow in 7th place with ranks 6/7/6. ----- The ranking and the daily-report.
