With the winds picking up - it's supposed to be 30kn+ today - the fleet has split in two on the approach to Cape Horn: With a more northerly route, 'Malizia' (Boris Herrmann GER) and 10 miles behind 'Holcim-PRB' (Kevin Escoffier FRA) have taken the lead, further south 'Biotherm' Paul Meilhat FRA is 43 miles back in third, '11th hour' (Charlie Enright USA) also follows in the south 55 miles behind. It remains to be seen who is the fastet in the next two days in survival mode - with huge waves, it is supposed to freshen up to over 40kn. The race tracker and the reports.
