49er, 49erFX - World Championship 2024 - Lanzarote ESP - Day 2

The second day of the Skiff World Championships on Lanzarote offered moderate, offshore northerly winds. ----- The French teams dominated the 49ers: Erwan Fischer/Clément Péquin FRA took the lead in the overall standings with places 3/1/3 in their group. In the other group, Julien d'Ortoli/Noe Delpech FRA were the best of the day with places 2/1/1, moving up to 5th place. Sébastien Schneiter/Arno de Planta SUI also improved and advanced to 19th place. Joshua Richner/Nilo Schärer SUI are now 38th - the 49ers rankings. ----- The women in the 49ersFX were again only able to sail two races. The title defenders Odile Van Aanholt/Anette Duetz NED moved to the top. Xiaoyu Hu/Mengyuan Shan CHN follow one point behind, ahead of Vilma Bobeck/Rebecca Netzler SWE in third place - the 49erFX rankings . ----- The final qualifying races for the Goldfleet are on the program today - the daily report.
