Difficult conditions with shifty and varying winds between 10 and 13 kn prevailed on day two of the Laser Standard World Championship at the German Baltic Sea coast. During the second race of the day, the breeze considerably decreased. But the defending champion Tom Slingsby AUS did not bother about and defended his leading position with the day ranks 1 and 4. Considering the discard result, he is now on the top place overall with race wins only. Tonci Stipanovic CRO remains the first chaser three points behind together with the tied Tom Burton AUS on rank 3. Andy Maloney NZL follows on the 4th place while Simon Grotelüschen GER advanced on rank 5. The Olympic Champion Paul Goodison GBR is now - thanks to the discarded race - on position 9.
