Star - Sigi Meier Memorial - SC Hallwil - successful debut for Eric Monnin

Two races were sailed Saturday at the Sigi-Meier-Memorial on Lake Hallwil in a light breeze. Sunday remained without wind. Newcomer in the Starclass, but with an experience crew, Eric Monnin YCI was the winner of both races together with Enrico De Maria YCR, followed by Beat Hunziker/Vincent Nagelisen SCH and Christoph Gautschi/Ralph Natter YCB at equal points. 17 teams participated. The succesful matchracer Eric Monnin has been granted a wild card to the Star Sailors League Final on the Bahamas in early December, where he will not only meet the best Starsailors but also Olympic medalists such as the Rio Olympics full Laser podium. Monnin participates the remain Starboat regattas in Switzerland as training.
