Yesterday evening, the proclamation and the prize giving for the 2009 speed records on Lake Geneva took place at the SN Geneva. There were no new Blue or Violet Ribbon records set for the round-the-lake course. The one-hour and the one kilometer records however were improved by Jean-Pierre Ziegert, co-editor, with his Foiler-Moth: 34,557 km in one hour with an average speed of 18,66 kn, and 79 seconds for one kilometer equals an average of 24,81 kn.
