Tomorrow begins the 48th edition of the Trofeo Princesa Sofia on Palma Bay / Mallorca ESP with a considerable Swiss delegation as never in the last years with representatives in 7 of the 10 Olympic events.
Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI, who did not interrupt his racing activity after the Rio Games and climbed on rank 1 of the RS:X male windsurfer World Ranking List with good results during winter, will endeavour to hold his top position. Two other Rio Olympians will start their 2020 Olympic campaign here in Palma: the 470 women team Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI and the 49er team Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI. High expectations has Maud Jayet SUI, who has achieved some good international results this year already. Two newly formed development teams will start in the 470 men: Kilian Wagen/Joan Herp Morell SUI/ESP and David Biedermann/Jann Schüpbach SUI. New names also in the 49ers with Maxime Bachelin/Arno de Planta SUI and Max Hänssler/Fred Haenssler SUI both in their first season.
