After the variable conditions on the opening day, the sun was back yesterday and the normal seabreeze filled in on Palma Bay. The full program was completed in a 12 kn wind.
Pavel Sozykin/ Denis Gribanov RUS defended their lead in the 470 men ahead of McNay/Hughes USA who advanced on rank 2. In the 470 women, Afrodite Zegers/Anneloes Van Veen NED took the lead one point in front of Wei/Xu CHN and Mas-Depares/Cantera ESP at equal points.
Winning 2 of the 3 races, Diego Botin/Iago Lopez ESP moved on top of the 49ers with Peters/Sterritt GBR and Lefevre/Pelsmaekers BEL as first persuers. In the 49ersFX, the new leaders are Victoria Jurczok/Anika Lorenz GER 10 points ahead of Naess/Rönningen NOR.
Deniss Karpak EST in the Finns extended his lead on 6 points. The Starboat Olympic Champion (2012 with Freddy Lööf SWE) Max Salminen SWE moved up on rank 2. The newcomer Nicolas Heiner NED (Laser Worldchampion 2014) follows on rank 3. Lin Cenholt/Christian-Peter Lübeck DEN defended the first position in the Nacra-17. John Gimson/Anna Burnett GBR advanced on rank 2.
No change on top of the RS:X windsurfers: Pawel Tarnowski POL leads ahead of Ivan Pastor ESP, and in the women's fleet, Marina Alabau ESP stays on top with two race wins in front of Stefania Elfutina RUS.
