Laser Radial - Youth World Championship 2017 - Medemblik NED - Day 1, the Swiss

The Youth Laser Radial World Championship 2017 began yesterday on the Ijsselmeer with two races.
In the Radial men, Caelin Winchcombe AUS, Nicholas Bezy HKG and Matias Dietrich ARG share the lead with the ranks 1 and 3 each. The best Swiss Grégoire Peverelli SUI is on rank 18 among the 273 participants. In the U17-rankings, Josh Armit NZL leads ahead of Sofiane Karim FRA. Gautier Verhulst SUI is on the excellent 4th place.
Lin Pletikos SLO is the sole leader in the Radial women 2 points ahead of Julia Büsselberg GER. Ekaterina Bereza RUS and Annabelle Westerhof NED share rank 3. No Swiss among the 107 participants. First in the U-17 Girls' rankings are Matilda Nicholls GBR and Florence Parmentier GER at equal points.
