The first event of the 2017/18 Olympic Classes Worldcup began yesterday morning in Japan.
In the 470 women, the trio Skrzypulec/Mrozek POL, Fahrni/Siegenthaler SUI and Di Salle/Dubbibni ITA is on top at equal points. In the 470 men, Belcher/Ryan AUS are first ahead of Isozaki/Takayanagi JPN. In the 49ers, McHardie/McKenzie NZL won the only race completed so far. Three heats were sailed by the 49ersFX. Lili Sebesi/Albane Dubois FRA lead with the ranks 2/1/1 followed by Sayoko Harada/Sera Nagamatsu JPN.
Two race wins for Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI in the RS:X Men Windsurfers. The best RS:X Women Windsurfer was Wai Yan Ngai HKG. The Finns do not participate. The Laser News follow in a separate text below.
