Windsurfing - Techno293 - World Championship 2017 - Salou ESP - Day 1

The World Championship of the Techno 293 youth windsurfers began yesterday in Salou South of Barcelona. With over 300 participants from 30 nation, this is a very important event this year again. Up to now, two races by fleet have been held.
In the Youth Girls (U15), Ella Benbenisti ISR leads 5 pts ahead of Mak Cheuk-Wing HKG. Sharon Kantor ISR follows on 3rd. In the Youth Boys (U-15), the first place is shared by Daniel Basik ISR and Jules Chantrel FRA. With two race wins, Laura Ashkenazi ISR is on top of the Youth Girls (U-17) with Elisa Jariel FRA and Héloïse Macquaert FRA on the ranks 2 and 3. In the largest fleet with 130 starters, the Youth Boys (U-17), Amit Gan ISR and Roy Hillel ISR are on top at equal points.
No Swiss, Germans and Austrians among the participants.
